My mother introduced me to cake decorating back in the 60's. A plastic bag with a tiny part of the corner cut out was all we needed to write on a cake. Later came the aluminum plunger types and finally the parchment and metal tips.
I worked full time for over 43 years, but I still found time to home-publish my books and enjoy my cake decorating hobby. When our boys were young, they had suggestions for their birthday cakes, but now that they are grown, they just want to eat the cake. So it was through the interests of friends and relatives that I satiated my desire to decorate cakes. I no longer have the equipment or time to decorate cakes, but these pages provide great memories.
